G’day,

I am thrilled to launch The Boundary Rider today and to have you along for the ride.

Why The Boundary Rider? because in sport so much of what makes it special happens away from the action in the middle.

Instead, it is the people and the places that strike a chord. The bits that exist on the periphery, the moments away from the spotlight, are what make us fall in love with the game and keep us coming back.

The Boundary Rider will tell these stories and aim to celebrate the intangibles that make our connection to sport so special. It will be mostly cricket, but will ride the boundaries of other sports too; always looking closely for what’s going on beyond, behind or next to the scoreboard.

Either way, this is bound to evolve and it’s exciting to have a platform to write and explore our connection to sport. However it might look.
